Dev / Staging runs on a single Lightsail instance (flat, no SLA). Production runs EC2 + managed RDS behind an Application Load Balancer with Multi-AZ HA across every tier — Auto Scaling adds at Scale.
Capacity figures are estimates for a well-architected web app with caching + separate managed DB; confirm with load testing before any SLA commitment.
Auth (Clerk) is free up to 50K MRU, so Starter / Growth / Business sit inside the free tier. Pro & Scale include Clerk Pro; MRU beyond 50K bills per overages. MRU = monthly retained users (returning 24h+ after signup).
Gemini 2.5 Pro doubles above 200K input tokens (≈ $2.50 / $15 per 1M vs $1.25 / $10) — quote long-context Pro usage at the higher tier.
Lightsail prices are dual-stack (include a public IPv4); IPv6-only deployments run ~$4/mo cheaper on 4 GB / 8 GB tiers.
